JD Gyms Leeds Kirkstall Road

Unsafe, train anywhere else; the site has disabled parking but it’s a free for all, whether you have a blue badge or not you can park there and nothing will be done about it. Ace if you’ve not got a blue badge but a slap in the face if you’re a disabled user of the gym. I’ve asked repeatedly for them to keep tabs on it and they don’t, I said can you not put signage up to suggest penalties for improper use of the disabled bays to which I’ve been told 1. cancelling memberships isn’t in the best interest of the profitability of the company and 2. they’re short staffed at the best of times and their CCTV doesn’t work in the car park which, for a 24/7 gym, is incredibly unsafe for vulnerable people or women. There are women that work here, it’s very fortunate for them that they’ve never felt fear in public so much so that they don’t care that the CCTV doesn’t work. I originally brought this to the teams attention in November, half an attempt to police this was made, but the CCTV didn’t work then and is still yet to. Imagine if anyone had been assaulted in that time and the 24/7 gym has no CCTV? Honestly, spend your money anywhere else. I’d give less than a 1 if I was able to

Great gym. Diverse clientele. Lots of zones - machines, benches, cables, hyrox, cardio, etc. Massive space. Quiet in the mornings.More manic when the students eventually get out of bed.

Used to be a good gym but really going downhill. The larger lockers in the men’s are permanently reserved, same padlocks on each locker no matter what time of day you go. No gym rules followed at all, people working out in jeans and crocs, and at least half the people take there bags and jackets on the gym floor with them, bags everywhere! Probably know they can get away with it cause I haven’t seen a member of staff actually there in months. Weight area, total mess, prepare to spend half your time looking for the weights you need cause it hasn’t been organised or put back in order for months now. In terms of classes, if you have a job, there is no chance of going to classes. Nothing at weekends except one spin class. Locker room is so dark you can’t read the numbers on your padlock and the scales in the men’s locker room has been broken for weeks and weeks. Really thinking about moving to a new gym

New manager Dani is amazing so lovely, helped me set up my membership. Been a member before and can see the difference she has made on the gym !!
