The shop not even wheelchair friendly my partner struggling to get around with items everywhere on floor and due to fire safety she won’t be able to get out fast enough not right

Just discovered Herons recently (where have I been 🤣) Now we've been a few times this month. Really good value, especially for my bits for work like snacks, pot noodles and drinks. So much cheaper than the supermarkets. You just have to check the dates as some don't have long. I personally aren't fussed as it's just a best before anyway. We stocked up on the Plant bar chocolate. 2 for £1. Its usually £2.50 in Sainsburys/Co-op

Not bad this place...it's never busy - but that's good as you can usually get the essentials - eg bread, milk, cereal etc. I visited the night before Ramadan started, every other shop I visited had sold out of full fat milk, cream & plain yoghurt & eggs - Heron Foods had a full fridge! Well stocked with a good choice of frozen foods. They sell everything from baking ingredients, cereal, household cleaning, confectionery etc. They even have a small amount of fruit/veg. Their staff are friendly & polite 😀

Both me and my partner have shopped here for years. Despite Covid and the cost of living crisis. Heron foods saw us through and is still first call on a shopping trip. the management are friendly and helpful as are the girls and boys that work there. Thanks u guys

Take a risk but it's a rough area and the chances of being pestered for money is highly likely even higher chance of being mugged, don't go. Instead go to Mirfield only a mile down the road.The store was nice along with friendly staff and very very helpful. Everything was quality food and pricing but I did feel threatened and my little boy 9 years old had his phone taken from him,the person ran off but as since been caught and charged with robbery. I realize u can't do much about this but for this reason, we won't travel to Dewsbury to shop,this also includes going to Asda round the corner.
