Yorkshire Wildlife Park Offers Free Entry for Dads on Father's Day Weekend 2026

Welcome to Yorkshire

Published on June 2nd, 2026

Father’s Day is just around the corner, and Yorkshire Wildlife Park is rolling out the red carpet for dads! This year, the park is offering a fantastic deal where all dads can visit for free on the weekend of Saturday, 20th and Sunday, 21st June 2026. This special occasion is a wonderful opportunity for families to celebrate the amazing dads in their lives while enjoying a day out surrounded by some incredible animals.

Meet The Animal Dads

Two special dads at the park are taking centre stage this Father’s Day. Drake, an Amur leopard, and Brooke, a cheetah, are not only proud fathers but also play a crucial role in their species' conservation. Drake, who is a father to three Amur leopard cubs born last year, is part of an important breeding programme aimed at saving his species. The Amur leopard is critically endangered, with only about 130 left in the wild due to threats like poaching and habitat loss. His cubs are a beacon of hope for their kind, helping to boost the population numbers. Brooke, the 14-year-old cheetah, is also a proud dad of four new cubs who are about to make their debut at the park. Previously, his other offspring, Kendi and Tafari, have moved on to contribute to the international breeding programme. The dedication of these animal fathers is a reminder of the importance of wildlife conservation.

Free Admission for Dads

The free admission for dads is available with the purchase of a full-price adult, child, or senior/student ticket. This offer can be booked online or at the Guest Experience desk upon arrival at the park. It’s a great way for families to spend quality time together while exploring the wonders of nature. The park also has a special Father’s Day package available through the Hex Wildlife Hotel. This includes free admission to Yorkshire Wildlife Park, a complimentary bottle of beer for Dad, and retro sweets to enjoy. Plus, families can start their day right with breakfast at Wilds Cafe Bistro. This package is valid for stays from 19th June until 22nd June, making it a perfect way to turn Father’s Day into a mini getaway.

A Wild Experience

Yorkshire Wildlife Park isn't just about the animal dads; it offers visitors a unique experience to get up close with some of the world's most beautiful and endangered species. Guests can walk through the park and see animals like Amur leopards, tigers, black rhinos, polar bears, and African painted dogs. This immersive experience allows families to learn about these incredible creatures and the conservation efforts in place to protect them. Charlotte Macdonald, the Director of Animals at the park, expressed her excitement about the upcoming celebration. She said, “This Father’s Day, we’re celebrating not only the incredible animal dads here at the park, but the father figures creating unforgettable memories with their families too. We’re looking forward to welcoming families for a truly wild Father’s Day to experience and learn about some of the world’s most beautiful and endangered species.”

Conservation Efforts

Yorkshire Wildlife Park is not just a fun day out; it also plays a significant role in conservation. The park is home to the Yorkshire Wildlife Foundation charity, which works tirelessly to protect wildlife and their habitats. By visiting the park, families support these vital efforts, helping to ensure that future generations can enjoy the beauty of these magnificent animals. The park’s commitment to conservation and education makes it a fantastic choice for a family outing, especially on Father’s Day. Families can create lasting memories while learning about the importance of wildlife preservation.

Plan Your Visit

To take advantage of the free admission for dads, families are encouraged to plan their visit for the weekend of 20th and 21st June. Adult tickets start from £27.99, and there’s something for everyone to enjoy at the park. This Father’s Day, Yorkshire Wildlife Park promises to be a memorable experience for both animal and human dads alike. With exciting activities, close encounters with wildlife, and a chance to celebrate fatherhood, it’s a perfect way to honour the special men in families’ lives while contributing to important conservation work.
