News • January 27th, 2025
|If you’ve been dreaming of a seaside escape that combines the beauty of the coast with a touch of luxury, this might just be your next destination. Saltmoore, the gorgeous retreat on the North Yorkshire coastline, is expanding its offering with the opening of The Beach House on Saturday, 1 February 2025.
Already known for its stunning location and relaxing vibe since opening in November 2024, Saltmoore is stepping things up with its second hotel, promising guests a truly special getaway. Here's what you need to know about this new addition.

What makes The Beach House special?
The Beach House isn't just another hotel—it’s a thoughtfully designed space that feels like it’s been plucked straight from a Pinterest dream board. It’s got its own reception area, a chic bar, and 29 elegant bedrooms, each crafted to reflect the surrounding natural beauty. And if you love a good design story, these interiors come courtesy of Sapin Studio, who’ve drawn inspiration from the sea and nearby woodlands. Think calming ocean tones, cosy wood panelling, and that blissful coastal aesthetic.
Whether you’re planning a romantic retreat or a family getaway, The Beach House caters to everyone—yes, even your furry friends are welcome.
Room highlights: something for everyone
There’s no such thing as a “bad room” at The Beach House, but here’s what’s on offer:
- Coastal Classic Balcony Rooms: These come with views of the surrounding woodland—ideal for nature lovers who enjoy their morning coffee with a side of birdsong.
- Coastal Classic Outdoor Bath Rooms: Want a private outdoor terrace and a hot soak under the stars? These are for you.
- The Saltwick Suite and The Sandsend Suite: Perfect for when you’re after something extra. Both suites offer spacious lounge areas, freestanding bathtubs, and a design that screams relaxation.
Whichever option you choose, you’ll feel pampered.
What else is there to do at Saltmoore?
Saltmoore now consists of two hotels: the original Saltmoore House and the brand-new Beach House. Together, they offer 72 bedrooms, so there’s plenty of room for you and your crew. But this isn’t just about fancy accommodation—it’s a complete retreat experience.
- Wellness first: The state-of-the-art spa includes treatments by Wildsmith Skin, perfect for winding down after a day exploring the coastline.
- Foodies, rejoice: Saltmoore has multiple restaurants and bars overseen by Head Chef Adam Maddock and Chef Consultant Tommy Banks, who know how to create meals that hit the spot.
It’s clear Saltmoore is designed for those who love a mix of nature, relaxation, and good food.
