Costa Coffee

Went in for a quick coffee. Queue started somewhere in the next postcode. Spent most of it watching people have their first encounter with liquids, gravity, and basic decision-making. Coffee arrived eventually. Hot enough to cauterise a wound and priced like it was ethically sourced from a mountain I’m not allowed to visit. Sat down at a table that had clearly survived previous customers and possibly a small incident. Cup stuck to it. Considered leaving it there as a memorial. Left £5 poorer, mildly caffeinated, and emotionally unchanged. Don’t know why I go. Will be back. Probably tomorrow.

Friendly branch of Costa maybe not the best one I have visited seating outside and downstairs but main seating seems to be upstairs coffee was same delicious fairly priced as every branch nice friendly staff situated on courner of Pickering main road

Nathan was FANTASTIC. I came in with a friend of mine who has a learning disability and really struggles with technology, it was her birthday recently and couldn't work out how to access the free birthday treat. Nathan saw how much she was struggling and told her not to worry about it to avoid her getting more anxious. He then proceeded to ask her what she would like and gave her a free caramel shortbread. Amazing service and a good example for service standards , thank you Nathan.

Had a latte, it was a bit frothy but tasted good. It was very quiet in here and in Pickering. The shop was nice and clean. Plenty of sandwiches to choose from but not many cakes.

Great coffee, not much on the health food options, selections side.
