The Haven is an excellent cottage in the heart of Robin Hood’s Bay. I stayed with my family in August 2024 and had a brilliant time. One of my favourite bits is the bench outside overlooking the bay where we had many meals and played some of the board games kept in the house. Inside it has all the mod cons, a cute fireplace, but still has its RHB fishing cottage identity. One of the best cottages in the village, I would strongly Recommend staying here.
Absolutely fantastic cottage. Everything you need, lovely little touches that make your stay so much more special, like complimentary goodies on arrival. Gorgeous sea views to the rear in the garden, table and chairs all catered for. Exceptionally clean and very cosy. We all loved it. We will definitely return.
A very quaint old fishermen's cottage in a fantastic location. The bedroom & bathroom are good sizes, bedroom 2 only really big enough for smaller children. The stairs are steep & tight (what we expected) as they were built like this, back in the day. The windows are a bit draughty but the central heating (controlled by a Nest thermostat) along with a coal stove, kept us lovely & warm all week. Very comfortable & cosy cottage with some beautiful old photographs on the walls. If you like old style, you'll love it here, we did! Thank you, Denise & Gordon for keeping it 'authentic'
We have been coming to Robin Hoods Bay for many years now and always stay at the Haven. The cottage is very well situated in the heart of the lower bay with easy access to the beach and the nearby pubs, restaurants and shops. The cottage itself is very comfortable and cosy with excellent central heating and a lovely stove (n.b. smokeless coal is provided). The cottage is also very well equipped with pretty much everything you would need for a holiday retreat. We always look forward to our annual stay at the Haven.
The whole cottage/ holiday was just lovely. An inviting fire, very comfy bed. Added bonus of being able to sit outside in the morning to eat breakfast. A warm welcome of cookies and milk with some basics in the cupboard too.
