We had a lovely night's stay at the Villa in Robin Hoods Bay. The host was very accomodating to our earlier check in and the cooked breakfast was great also. Very comfy bed and perfect location for a stay in the local area.

Stayed 1 night whilst walking the Cleveland Way. It's location is great and right on the path at the top of the hill for Robin Hood Bay. The room and the house is well maintained and decorated. Our host was friendly and breakfast was good. A nice stay.

The owner was lovely and very welcoming. The B&B was very well maintained. The room was nice and the breakfast was cooked very well. The owner gave us tips on the local area which proved very useful and overall the experience was good value for money. Would certainly stay again and recommend anyone else to do the same.

I don't enjoy being critical, but when you've paid £125 a night for B&B, you have a right to expect better service than a basic Air B&B, which is why we went up-market for our week-end away. Sadly, there were several issues with this B&B, although as you can see from my many other reviews, I'm pretty balanced in my approach, so will highlight good as well as bad points. Firstly, on the plus side, the Villas is in a lovely location, between two pubs, and with nearby access to the town and beach. Despite notifying the host that we'd be arriving around 4pm, we had to ring a couple of times to get hold of her, because she was out at the time we were originally supposed to arrive. On arrival, we then had to very carefully manoeuvre our car past the host's large 4x4 into a very tight space, despite the property advertising three spaces, which is misleading. We were then offered a choice of rooms, but both were cold on arrival. Surely it's basic courtesy to ensure that guests are shown to a nice, warm room on arrival? There's nothing worse than having to ask for the heating to be turned on in October, before your wife can change for dinner! Even when we have people to stay in our own home, we warm their bedroom and put a light on. The radiator also took several hours to come on, by which stage it was too late to be of any use. We also struggled to get any hot water from the sink tap. To be fair, the room was warmer by the following morning, but the cold arrival and water made us feel we were a bit of an out-of-season inconvenience..albeit we still paid high-season prices! To be fair, the breakfast was very good on the Saturday morning and the dining room was a pleasant and comfortable room, although we weren't then asked what we wanted on the Sunday morning. Instead, we were presented with the same breakfasts and drinks as soon as we came downstairs. Not a problem in my case, but my partner wanted poached eggs. Instead, she was served scrambled eggs again, making us feel like we were a bit of a nuisance if we said anything. Overall, our room was pleasant enough without being what I'd expect for the price we paid, which was three star hotel rates. Throughout the week-end, we felt we had to fit in around the host, rather than the other way around.

My partner and I recently stayed for one night. I only wish it was longer. We were met with a very warm greeting and shown to our room. Everywhere was spotlessly clean, cosy and comfortable. The mattress was the best we've ever slept on. Breakfast was just perfect and catered for our different needs. I highly reccomend this B&B and will definitely be returning. Many thanks. Dave and Wendy.
