This is a camping site not a hotel as Google review is suggesting. It is in a great platform for Robin Hoods Bay and we actually walked to Whitby and back. The campsite could be a bit of a shock to some, there are bits that look scruffy, it's rustic, it has great views of the sea, it was fully booked, so liked by a lot. We stayed four nights and thoroughly enjoyed it. For the wildlife lovers, we saw hares and raptors at the site and a pod of 8 dolphins from the cinder track with binoculars.

What a cracking rural location to camp on the hillside with fantastic sea views just 30 min walk down to Robin Hood Bay and a 6 mile cycle on the Cinder Path to Whitby. Warm welcome. Narrow road to get to site but we managed it in our 7.4 metre bailey Motorhome. Make sure you follow the owners directions to the letter. The three wet rooms with toilets are nice and clean. We will definitely be back.

Great spot for camping. Being near the cliffs it is very windy but the campsite was dry and easy for the car to get in and out of. Follow the campsite instructions on how to get there and you'll be fine. Its a 20minute walk down into robin hoods bay but very easy (if you have the stamina) to walk to Whitby or Scarborough.

Absolutely stunning views of the coastline and looking over Robin hoods bay This is a rural campsite so expect that and take a torch out at night. The owner was very helpful and friendly. You do need to follow his instructions in the email to get to the campsite down a very narrow rd. Also this is a peaceful place no music and noice at night which was so lovely 😊 The shower and toilets were nicer than we expected. A hot shower with no continuously pressing for water was very nice. Although they could have been cleaner at times, they were nice and a pleasant surprise to be honest. It's a quirky, rustic, beautiful, scenic farm And we will be back Thankyou so much πŸ’“

It has an aura that descends on the campsite late evening. Breathtaking views. It can be perfect peace, the nice man who owns the campsite protects this peace. If you want to listen to a screen or music at night, bring headphones. I have gone with my children, husband and sisters. This time I did it on my own. I knew it would be a safe and clean place. Even if it pours down the hot powerful showers soon help you regroup! It can get windy but good double pegging sorts this. The 'rules' are respectful, clear, there for a reason and no nonsense.
