The elegant seaside town of Scarborough, known as the surfing capital of the North, has a colourful promenade and sandy beaches and a short drive north leads to the historic port of Whitby. The North Yorkshire Moors steam train can be boarded here to enjoy the breathtaking scenery as it chugs its way through the Esk Valley.

Local shops are 300 yards away, and the nearest pub is 150 yards.
