|It looks like the biggest stars in music have a real soft spot for Yorkshire, because the list of upcoming gigs and events is getting seriously impressive. If you are wondering how to fill your evenings and weekends, the calendar for the next year already looks packed with incredible music, major arena shows, and even some top tier theatre straight from London's West End.
With massive names like Westlife, Gorillaz, and Louis Tomlinson all announcing dates, it is clear that God's Own Country is the place to be for live entertainment. Iconic outdoor venues such as the Halifax Piece Hall and the Scarborough Open Air Theatre are setting up for legendary seasons, offering incredible nights under the stars. It might be the right time to get the diary out and start planning.

Kicking Off The Year With A Bang
Before 2026 fully arrives, there are still some big shows to close out 2025. December is a busy month, with D Block Europe performing at Leeds First Direct Bank Arena on the 6th, and Babyshambles taking the stage at Leeds O2 Academy on the 7th. For a festive option, Disney On Ice arrives at Sheffield Utilita Arena from the 17th to the 21st. Sheffield legend Richard Hawley is also hosting a hometown residency at City Hall from December 15th to 17th.
Once January hits, the momentum does not stop. The brilliant Miles Kane plays two dates across January and February. Then comes a proper slice of nostalgia as the iconic Happy Mondays bring their Madchester sound to Leeds and Sheffield in March. Families who missed out in December get another chance to see Disney On Ice when it arrives in Leeds from March 5th to 8th. It is a strong start to what will be a huge year of live shows.
Spring Sounds Across The County
As we move into spring, the scale of the events grows even more. On March 25th, animated superstars Gorillaz take over Leeds First Direct Bank Arena. Their shows are not just gigs. They are full visual experiences. Fans of huge machines and roaring engines will enjoy Hot Wheels Monster Trucks Live at the same venue on March 28th and 29th.
April is packed with headline names. The legendary band James play Leeds on April 4th. Rick Astley brings his feel good hits to the city on April 18th. Doncaster’s own Louis Tomlinson performs a huge homecoming show on April 28th, followed by Alex Warren on April 29th. In May, the sound turns alternative, with Pixies performing at York Barbican on May 20th and electronic pioneers Kraftwerk at Sheffield City Hall on May 29th.
An Unforgettable June At Halifax Piece Hall And Scarborough
When summer arrives, Yorkshire’s incredible outdoor venues take centre stage. June is shaping up to be one of the busiest and most exciting months ever at both Halifax Piece Hall and Scarborough Open Air Theatre.
Paul Weller performs in Scarborough on June 12th and at Halifax on June 14th. Nineties icons Garbage and Skunk Anansie co headline Halifax on June 16th and Scarborough on June 20th. Here is a look at what else June has in store:

To close out the month, the legendary Billy Ocean performs at Scarborough on June 28th. June in Yorkshire is looking like a full scale music festival spread across the county.
The Height Of Summer With Music Legends
July and August continue the summer magic with even more massive events. James Arthur performs twice on July 4th, playing both Scarborough Open Air Theatre and Halifax Piece Hall. David Gray does the same, with a show in Scarborough on July 4th and Halifax on July 5th.
Scottish favourites Deacon Blue appear in Halifax on July 9th and Scarborough on July 10th. Billy Ocean returns for two extra dates at Halifax Piece Hall on July 10th and 12th. Folk rock legend James Taylor brings his timeless sound to Halifax on July 16th and Scarborough on July 25th.
One very special event is Alex James Britpop Classical, a celebration of iconic 90s indie hits backed by a full orchestra. It arrives in Scarborough on July 17th and Halifax on July 19th. Fans of musical theatre will also be happy to know that Jersey Boys runs at the Bradford Alhambra from July 20th to August 1st.
Autumn Shows And Where To Get Tickets
As the evenings get darker, the entertainment heads back indoors. October brings a huge highlight as Irish pop legends Westlife take over Leeds First Direct Bank Arena on October 6th and Sheffield Utilita Arena on October 7th. Expect a night of pure pop perfection.
Theatre lovers can also enjoy The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night Time at York Grand Opera House from October 27th to 31st. The year rounds off with an explosive co headline arena show from Bloc Party and Interpol at Sheffield Utilita Arena on November 28th.
With so many incredible shows ahead, the hardest part is choosing what to see. Tickets for most music events are available through major retailers such as Ticketmaster and Live Nation. Theatre productions like Jersey Boys are best booked through venue websites or theatre specific ticket sellers. It is shaping up to be a brilliant year for live entertainment in Yorkshire.
