Join Amy Garcia, long-time presenter of BBC Look North, for a very special evening at Silsden Town Hall on Saturday 20 September 2025 as part of a fundraising event to support the continued growth and cultural programming of this much-loved local hub.
From the Red Sofa to the Silsden Stage
Amy has been a trusted voice and presence in Yorkshire homes for over a decade. Across her twelve years with BBC Look North, she’s reported on the stories that have shaped our region.
She’s interviewed national politicians, famous faces, and, most importantly, the remarkable everyday people who make Yorkshire what it is. And she’s done it all with warmth, compassion and credibility, side-by-side with beloved colleagues like Harry Gration and Paul Hudson.
Behind the Headlines
At An Audience with Amy Garcia, the questions are coming her way. In a candid, inspiring evening, Amy will reflect on her career, share behind-the-scenes stories from the newsroom, and dive into her unforgettable charity challenges — including:

Amy recalls the warm welcome she received when the pair passed through Silsden a decade ago. Now she’s returning that kindness, offering her time and stories to help raise vital funds for the Town Hall’s exciting future.
