This beautifully presented 2-bedroomed cottage has been recently refurbished and is tastefully furnished and decorated throughout.

You enter into a small hallway and turn right into a bright and inviting sitting room. Here you have 2 x 2-seater sofas, TV, DVD, CD and radio. There’s a storage cupboard off the sitting room - great for storing your outdoor gear.

Beyond the lounge is the dining room with table and chairs, and a brand-new kitchen... equipped with gas hob, oven, toaster, microwave, fridge (with ice-box). You also have an iron, board and airer.

To the first floor is a sparkling new bathroom with bath, WC and hand washbasin.  The delightful mini-bath has an integral seat and shower over (which the kids will love after a day on the beach).

Also on this level is a first of the bedrooms -  a beautiful sea-view double.

On the second floor is twin bedroom with fantastic panoramic sea, harbour and coastline views. Here also is the second en-suite with glass shower enclosure, basin and WC.

There's lots of hanging and storage space throughout with wardrobe, drawers and bedside cabinets in the bedrooms.

The owners have thoughtfully provided a lock and chain outside the front door for temporary storage of a buggy or pram before it is brought in overnight.

The cottage is warm and cosy even in cooler months having a newly-fitted boiler and gas central heating system.

ACCESS

There are 2 routes. 1 is from Tuthill (see map) down 7 steps. The other is from the seafront up about 40 steps

Sorry no stair gates supplied, but there is a door at the bottom of the stairs.

Parking

There's a private parking space provided free-of-charge nearby. This is a huge bonus in this very popular part of Scarborough where off-road parking is scarce. The covered parking space is suitable for 1 car (see photo). Bedwyn's or the owners can give advice on parking if this space is unsuitable or if you are bringing a second vehicle.

What's nearby?

This property is tucked into the heart of the Old Town, with views overlooking the harbour so is very close to many of the most popular amenities here in Scarborough. Only a short walk from the lifeboat station, lighthouse, harbour and the South bay beach, so extremely convenient for days spent on the beach. It is also only a short walk to Scarborough Spa which has plenty of entertainment and shows going on, day and night and a lovely bar/bistro. The town centre is only a short walk away as well as the Castle itself and the beautiful Marine Drive, a lovely walk that takes you round to the North side. There are bus routes close by, including the Open top, which goes from South to North bay offering wonderful views and open space. Amusement arcades and shops in abundance and many eateries and bars are also very close to hand.

Eating Out?

An abundance of bars and restaurants are very close by, as well as the traditional Fish and Chip shops and Waffle stalls. The Harbour Bar is an ever popular destination, serving fantastic ice-cream, deserts and milk shakes in a great retro environment. Farers Bar and Bistro at the Spa, is well loved, with some handy outside seating areas to enjoy the views. Ask Pizza restaurant right on the Harbour, is very close to this property and offers wonderful views. A new business, The Mutiny, is a great Bar serving traditional Rums and Beers, as well as delicious hot and cold food.
