|There’s extra cause for celebration at Askham Bryan Wildlife and Conservation Park this summer — two of the Park’s animal families have just welcomed new arrivals!
The Park’s much-loved meerkat mob has grown once again, while the resident White-lipped Tamarins have added adorable twins to their troop — delighting keepers and visitors alike.

After arriving at Askham Bryan less than a year ago, meerkat parents Lenny and Crookshank have expanded their lively mob for the third time, with four new pups bringing even more energy and antics to the enclosure.
Over in the primate area, White-lipped Tamarins Leonie and Fella are celebrating the arrival of healthy twins. Already proud parents to another baby born earlier this year, they are part of the European Endangered Species Programme (EEP) — an important conservation project helping to secure the future of rare and endangered species through careful, cooperative breeding.
Both animal families are thriving and settling into life with their newest little ones.
Shannon Hudson, Deputy Manager of Askham Bryan Wildlife and Conservation Park, said:
“It's been an incredibly rewarding year for us, and we're thrilled to see our hard work reflected in the continued growth of our wildlife park. We're especially excited about the breeding success of our White Lipped Tamarins. It's a privilege to contribute to the conservation of such a remarkable and endangered species."
