Quite a small spoons compared to most of the others. I had the toast and unlimited hot drinks for £2.49, and immediately ordered the freedom breakfast for under £3. The toast with butter and marmalade and the cup arrived within 5 minutes. The cooked breakfast was around 20 minutes later. Quite busy, so I couldn't moan about the wait. Good breakfast for the money. 10 -158 minutes walk from the impressive train station.

To The Myrtle Grove, Wetherspoons of Bingley, My dear tavern of carpets and compromise, It is I, Katherine C. Trousers, a gentleman of advancing years and retreating inhibitions, taking refuge beneath your patterned floors and democratic prices. How noble it is that a man may order a steak, a pudding, and a pint for the cost of a polite cough in Mayfair. I once sat here with Hector, that eternal companion of mine, staring into a bowl of chips as if it contained the secrets of the universe. “They’re hot,” he said. “So is life,” I replied, burning my tongue and my pride in equal measure. Your bar glows like a lighthouse to the lost: students, pensioners, and wandering souls clutching menus the size of legal documents. The ale flows, the clock refuses to move, and somewhere a carpet tells a story no man should ever fully understand. Long may you pour, Myrtle Grove. A gentleman needs somewhere to rest his bones and his glass. Yours, upright but swaying, Katherine C. Trousers P.S. I ordered peas. They rolled away. Hector laughed. I called it sport.

Called in for a meal and ordered the Haggis, neeps and tatties. Food and drink all good and excellent value. Premises -wise, this was not the best Wetherspoons we have been in as it was lacking in the usual standard of features.

1/2 pint of Guinness in a pint glass for the price of a pint !! Also can you please make food hot not tepid they leave ingredients off dishes and do t tell you and still charge you the same price. I know it’s cheap and cheerful but you still expect it to be edible. We sent back absolutely disgusting food was tools it would be refundable straight back to our card ( IT NEVER ARRIVED BACK AND THEY IGNORE EMAILS ABOUT THIS ). So you better get a receipt or cash back or some other form of compensation.

Booth making his first visit to Bingley. He decided to pop into Spoons for breakfast. This ex cinema is one of the smaller Wetherspoons and already doing a roaring trade at 11.30am. Had a simple small breakfast and a miners Benedict. Both did the job. The bar had a good choice of nine real ales. I had a fine pint of local Goose Eye brewery, Chinook, 4.2%. Booth a diet coke. Great value as always. Good service.
