Julie and Michael were amazing not to mention Sue, Phil, Stewart and Steve! This is my Second Camp here and each time the experience and adventure deepens. Julie made the whole start to finish run very smoothly although we had delays on our side. The activities were planned professionally and Session Leads were very welcoming. The children and my team felt very welcomed and really enjoyed our day. Thank you once again for such an incredible camp we look forward to coming again next year! ❤️🙏🏽
What a great place to visit, just dont take a dog. My son is a regular at black hills with his explorer group and while he is here I bring our little dog. While we was walking round we noticed a bit of dog mess (not a lot). We picked up our dogs mess and when we got back to the car park, my wife went to throw it in the bin. She was told quite abruptly not to as thay don't 'promote' dogs on the site (that explains why others haven't picked it up) so if you want a nice walk it is good just not pet friendly. Disappointing 😞
Just visited, but really well looked after site, plenty of activities both organised and things like play areas. Hits to cook in and for younger kids to stay. Tuck show and seems secure. No issue with my kid staying here
Very scenic in snow but access difficult unless your vehicle has 4wd.
My son attends here with the cubs and he loves going. Wonderful site and really pretty :) however the car parking is a bit of a let down, you have to walk quite far from the car park area to get down to where the huts are and if you're not good on your feet it's quite tricky. I usually have to wait in the car as it's too far for me to walk without getting exhausted. If you're disabled then please take care here.
