Welcome to Yorkshire

|Crest Nicholson, a well-known housebuilder with a focus on developing sustainable communities, has initiated a new partnership with Doncaster Foodbank. This collaboration is part of Crest Nicholson's ongoing commitment to supporting local communities, especially those in close proximity to its new Copley Park development in Sprotbrough.

Donation hub set up for essential items
As part of this partnership, the Yorkshire division of Crest Nicholson has established a donation hub at the Copley Park development. The company is encouraging both residents and the broader community to contribute non-perishable food and essential hygiene products that are urgently needed by the foodbank. The donation hub, located in the sales suite of the development, will be operational from Thursday to Monday, between 10 am and 5 pm.
The collected items will be delivered directly to Doncaster Foodbank by members of the Crest Nicholson team. This initiative not only supports those in need but also provides the team with an opportunity to understand the vital role the foodbank plays in assisting the local community. The donated items will be used to create balanced, three-day food parcels for individuals and families facing hardship.
Increased demand during summer months
Simon Utley, Director in Charge at Crest Nicholson Yorkshire, expressed the company's enthusiasm for the partnership, stating,
“We are pleased to collaborate with Doncaster Foodbank in offering crucial aid to individuals in our community who are experiencing hardship. Foodbanks are experiencing higher demands during the summer months, as the number of people and families in need of food and essential items continues to rise.”
He added that Crest Nicholson is deeply committed to supporting the wider community in Sprotbrough and the surrounding areas, acknowledging the critical work that Doncaster Foodbank does in helping those in crisis.
The role of businesses in supporting foodbanks
Julie Poland, Project Manager at Doncaster Foodbank, highlighted the importance of local business support, saying,
“We are very thankful to Crest Nicholson for their support to our foodbank. We’re always striving to ensure that our local community gets support at a time of crisis, so the donation of food is invaluable. As demand continues to grow at our 3 foodbank centres, it’s key for us to get support from local businesses to ensure we can be there for our community when they really need us, so thank you again, Crest Nicholson.”
Homes at Copley Park development
The Copley Park development, where the donation hub is located, offers a selection of three-bedroom homes starting at £300,000 and four-bedroom homes starting at £435,000. For those interested in purchasing a property, Crest Nicholson offers various buying schemes such as Part Exchange, Smooth Move, and Deposit Booster on selected properties.
