Welcome to Yorkshire
News • March 21st, 2025
|Spring is on its way, and Yorkshire Wildlife Park is celebrating in style! If you’re looking for the perfect Mother’s Day treat, here’s some good news—mums go free at the award-winning park on Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th March when accompanied by a pre-booked paying guest.
And that’s just the start. The park is also kicking off its Easter Egg-stravaganza, packed with live shows, Easter trails, and even the chance to meet an adorable new arrival.

Mums Go Free for Mother’s Day Weekend
Finding a great Mother’s Day gift can be tricky, but this one’s a winner. Treat your mum to a wild day out where she can see incredible animals up close, wander through beautiful landscapes, and even enjoy a special Afternoon Tea at the Wilds Café Bistro.
CEO John Minion is looking forward to welcoming guests:
“We are looking forward to welcoming hundreds of mums to the park and treating them to a well-deserved break. Families celebrating can come face to face with some of the world’s most beautiful and at-risk species and enjoy Afternoon Tea at the Wilds Café Bistro.”
But don’t wait too long—tickets are limited and only available in advance. Everyone in the booking must be present on the day to redeem the offer, so make sure the whole family is ready to go!
The Easter Egg-stravaganza Begins!
Once Mother’s Day is over, the fun keeps going. From Sunday 29th March to Monday 21st April, visitors can enjoy an action-packed schedule of live performances and activities, all included in the ticket price.
What’s on?
- Victor’s Big Adventure – A fun-filled family show
- The Jungle Book Live Show – A fresh take on a beloved classic
- Pirates of Pantaloon Bay – Swashbuckling fun for all ages
- The Jungle Book Easter Trail – A themed adventure for little explorers
CEO John Minion says the team has gone all out this year:
“We are incredibly excited to bring a variety of live shows and entertainment for Easter this year. It brings an interactive element for families to their day at the Wildlife Park Resort, seeing amazing animals from around the world and enjoying all the other activities on offer.”
Spring is always a popular time at the park, so if you want to catch these performances, it’s best to book in advance.
Meet Bindi the Crowned Lemur
Visitors over Easter will also get the first chance to meet Bindi, a 12-year-old Crowned Lemur who recently arrived from Suffolk. She’s now settled into her new home at Lemur Woods, where she’s been introduced to Loko, another lemur at the park. The match was recommended by the European Endangered Species Programme, and Valentine’s Day turned out to be a romantic one for these two!
Lemur Woods is a walk-through reserve, home to three different lemur species:
- Crowned Lemurs (like Bindi)
- Ring-Tailed Lemurs
- Red-Bellied Lemurs
Visitors can watch the lemurs leap between trees, listen to fascinating ranger talks, and even see them at feeding time.
Stay the Night at Hex Wildlife Hotel
After a full day of animal encounters and Easter adventures, families can extend their stay at the Hex Wildlife Hotel, where kids stay free using the promo code HALFTERM (subject to availability).
- Rates start from £52.25 per person (based on 2 adults & 2 children sharing a family room)
- Complimentary breakfast at the Wild Café Bistro
- A choice of luxury suites, family rooms, and accessible options
The hotel has recently expanded with 25 new rooms, including an assisted family room. Some rooms even overlook the maned wolves, offering a unique view of one of South America’s most fascinating species.
Explore The Yorkshire Hive
Just outside the park, The Yorkshire Hive is a shopping, dining, and entertainment village filled with:
- Local artisan products and unique gifts
- Boutique stores and collectable artwork
- The Uproar! Playbarn – A prehistoric-themed indoor adventure for kids
Whether you’re treating your mum, planning an Easter trip, or looking for a short getaway, Yorkshire Wildlife Park has something for everyone this spring.
How to Book
With limited availability, it’s best to book early—especially if you want to secure a free ticket for mum or a spot at one of the exciting Easter shows.
Sounds like the perfect way to welcome spring, doesn’t it? 🌸🐾
