Welcome to Yorkshire

|It seems like everyone wants a piece of McFly next summer. The pop-rock legends announced a show in Halifax, and the tickets flew out the door so fast that they’ve had to add another one. That’s right, due to phenomenal demand, the band will now be playing not one, but two massive headline shows at the iconic Piece Hall. The gigs are part of the TK Maxx presents Live at The Piece Hall 2026 series. Originally planned for just Wednesday, June 24, McFly will now also be taking over the stage the night before, on Tuesday, June 23. It’s a double dose of pop-rock goodness, and it’s happening because so many people were desperate to get tickets.

So what’s the big news?
Let's break it down. When a band puts a show on sale and it sells out almost instantly, it sends a clear message: people want more. And that’s exactly what happened here. The demand for tickets to see McFly in Halifax was off the charts. Organisers listened, and now a second date has been added on Tuesday, June 23, 2026. This is brilliant news for anyone who missed out the first time around. It’s a second chance to see the iconic band at one of the country's most unique venues.
These shows at The Piece Hall are a big deal. The band played two sold-out nights there back in 2024, and clearly, they couldn't wait to come back. Fresh off their massive, completely sold-out arena tour with Busted, McFly are on top form. For anyone wanting to grab a spot at either the new Tuesday show or the original Wednesday one, remaining tickets are available right now.
A quick reminder on McFly
For anyone who might have been living under a rock for the last two decades, McFly are a pop-rock institution. It’s been 22 years since Tom, Danny, Dougie, and Harry crashed onto the scene with their debut hit, ‘Five Colours In Her Hair’. Since then, their journey has been pretty wild. They’ve scored seven Number 1 singles, had seven Top 10 albums, and sold more than 10 million records worldwide. That’s a lot of platinum discs for the mantelpiece.
This isn't just any old nostalgia band, either. Their 2023 album, Power To Play, was a full-throttle rock record that showed they’ve still got it. They even hold the record for being the youngest band to have a debut album go straight to Number 1, knocking The Beatles off the top spot. Just last October, the band celebrated their 21st birthday with two sold-out nights at London’s O2 Arena, proving their live show is as electric as ever. Their social media channels on Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok are always buzzing, giving fans a look behind the scenes of their latest tour.
Who’s joining them on stage?
A headline show is always better with amazing support acts, and McFly are bringing some brilliant ones along for the ride. Joining them for both nights in Halifax are two fantastic bands. First up, the acclaimed Scottish alt-rockers Twin Atlantic. They’re the hitmakers behind massive tunes like ‘Heart and Soul’ and ‘Brothers and Sisters’, so expect some powerful rock anthems to get the crowd warmed up.
Opening the whole show will be Remember Monday. This dynamic pop trio has been making huge waves, from representing the UK at Eurovision to becoming genuine TikTok sensations. Their viral anthems like ‘What the Hell Just Happened?’ have racked up millions of streams on Spotify, and their fanbase just keeps growing. It's a perfectly balanced line-up, mixing pop energy with proper rock credentials.
What makes The Piece Hall so unique?
Playing at The Piece Hall is a truly special experience. It’s not your average venue. It’s a stunning Grade I listed building that first opened way back in 1779. It’s actually the only remaining Georgian cloth hall in the entire world. Think about that for a second. The history is incredible.
Today, its massive 66,000 sq ft open-air courtyard feels more like one of the grand piazzas you’d find somewhere in Europe. It’s surrounded by independent shops and cool restaurants, and it has become one of the most celebrated cultural destinations in the UK. Hosting a rock show in a place with so much history makes for a unique atmosphere you just don’t get in a modern arena. The venue hosts amazing events all year round, from music festivals to food fairs.
