The community defibrillator grant fund scheme funded by Harrogate Borough Council is now open for applications.

The purpose of the defibrillator grant fund is to support communities across the Harrogate district to purchase a Public Access Defibrillator (PAD). A PAD allows access to life-saving emergency equipment that is available for anyone to use when a cardiac arrest is suspected.

The successful grant applicants will be funded up to a maximum of £1,000 for purchase of a defibrillator. An additional fund of up to £500 is available if the organisation wishes the defibrillator to be mounted on an external wall for maximum public access.

Applications are invited from voluntary and community groups as well as parish councils from across the Harrogate district.

A total fund of £15,000 is available for allocation.

Applications are to be submitted between 19 January and 5pm on 28 February 2023.

All applications will be assessed together after the closing date and applicants will be informed during week commencing 13 March 2023.
