Second time here now for a bit or remote working. Not too busy an a comfortable bright atmosphere. The staff are incredibly swift and friendly, a real asset not only to the this store but the brand. A really stand out team, worthy of a review I don’t usually leave for a coffee chain.
We ordered two drinks: a hot chocolate and a cappuccino. Unfortunately, both tasted extremely watered down. The cappuccino barely had any coffee flavour, and the hot chocolate was completely bland. Honestly, even a basic pain chocolat from Sainsbury’s tastes far better than what we were served here. Paying around £13 for drinks of this quality was very disappointing and not worth the price.”
My partner and myself have been visiting this Starbucks every Saturday without fail for over 4 years but after today I won’t be using this store anymore. I entered this morning and felt optimistic that there may be a shorter wait than usual due to extra staff but after waiting at the till for some time without even being acknowledged a member of staff finally took my order. I ordered a flat white and a babychino. I scanned my app and was just about to tap my phone to pay and noticed I was about to be charged £8:00. I questioned this as a babychino has always been free as long as a normal drink is being purchased. I think the girl serving was new so she asked what I only presume to be the manager as she was dressed scruffy and had a very poor demeanour to came over and help. Then with a look of disgust that I’m questioning the change in price she responds in a rude manor, yeah that’s the price and immediately walked off, not allowing me to question why I was being charged £4.00 for 100-150ml of warm milk which was the same price as my flat white. I kindly asked the girl serving to cancel my whole order and left. This store used to be friendly and welcoming but recently the service has gone massively down hill, and now the price seem to be becoming ridiculous. My advice is to avoid this store and frequent one of nice cafes on horsforth town street who would be over the moon with your custom and if your set on a coffee from a chain there is Costa.
This Starbucks was terribly understaffed this morning. There was a female staff member who deserves big appreciation for dealing with dozens of customers at once. Management may want to look at arranging for support and extra staffing, esp on a busy Saturday morning, and to massively recognise her efforts.
I visited Statbuck's this morning and asked for a Grande Cappuccino and Signiture Breakfast Sandwich. The cashier charged me £15. When I asked why it cost so much, the cashier said a Cappuccino is £8. I didn't understand the sudden price rise, so I double checked and read on the board a Cappuccino is £4.10. I went back to the cashier and told her she must of over charged me, and asked her why she said a Cappuccino is £8??? She didn't answer me and checked the till. Her reply was, it's double charged you. There was no apology whatsoever, infact I found her extremely rude and unprofessional. If I had not checked, I would have lost £7.50. The cashier's are usually friendly here, but this young woman was appalling. I'm now put off from visiting here again.
