Yorkshire Wildlife Park has welcomed its first cheetah cubs to the main reserve, marking a significant step in cheetah conservation and showcasing the park's dedication to preserving this vulnerable species.

The final week of the Ryedale Festival 2024 in Pickering is here, offering a vibrant mix of classical, jazz, and contemporary performances:

From July 25-28, Sheffield will host the highly anticipated Fringe at Tramlines 2024, supported by Sheffield BID, featuring performances by hundreds of artists across over 30 venues, transforming the city into a vibrant musical playground.

Hull’s Museums Quarter will host Medieval Mayhem this weekend, a free family-friendly event on July 27-28, featuring knights, interactive medieval experiences, crafts, storytelling, and performances to immerse visitors in the rich tapestry of medieval life.

Disney’s Aladdin, a world-renowned musical, will perform at Bradford's Alhambra Theatre this August, with a giant magic lamp installation at The Broadway Shopping Centre adding Disney magic and an interactive Aladdin-themed trail for visitors from July 22 to August 3.

On Thursday, August 1, 2024, Central Tramway in Scarborough will celebrate Yorkshire Day and its 143rd birthday with the unveiling of the prestigious Red Wheel Plaque by the National Transport Trust, recognizing its historical significance in British transportation.

This August, Opera on Location Sheffield presents Verdi’s A Masked Ball at SADACCA, transforming the historic GMill into a vibrant street fair for three nights of immersive opera set within a lively community festival atmosphere.

Bavette, a French bistro in Horsforth, Leeds, has been awarded the title of Best Local Restaurant in the UK by the Good Food Guide, highlighting its rapid rise to national recognition under the ownership of Sandy Jarvis and Clément Cousin.

York’s historical charm has been reflected in a new art project: 'Outside the Box', which transformed twelve exchange boxes on The Stonebow with vibrant mini murals inspired by York's stained-glass heritage, thanks to a collaboration between York BID, Explore York Libraries and Archives, York Civic Trust, and York Glaziers Trust.

Featherstone's "Beat the Street" initiative saw 2,856 participants cover 18,207 miles, boosting adult activity by 17% and children's activity by 12%, highlighting the community's dedication to health and fitness.

Leeds is will play host to the opening of the Black Cat Club on September 13, 2024, offering a unique blend of interactive gaming, live sports, premium viewing experiences, and dynamic social events at its luxurious new venue on Park Row.

The Musicport Festival 2024, held from October 25-27 at Whitby Pavilion, will feature a diverse lineup of global musical artists, promising a vibrant celebration of music and culture in the historic town of Whitby, Yorkshire.

The Pretenders are set to headline a UK theatre tour in 2024, including a performance in Sheffield on November 1st, celebrating the success of their latest album, Relentless, which is their highest-charting record in over two decades and their 14th UK Top 40 release.

Rou Reynolds, frontman of Enter Shikari, will play the Artilleryman in Jeff Wayne’s Musical Version of The War of The Worlds: The Spirit of Man Tour 2025, which includes a performance at Sheffield's Utilita Arena on April 1, 2025.

Following a successful event in 2023, Hull will once again host INTERKULTUR's International Choir Competition in May 2025, attracting over 1,000 participants from global choirs for five days of competitions, concerts, and cultural activities.

House of Townend, a distinguished Yorkshire-based wine merchant, has been named Northern England Retailer of the Year at the International Wine Challenge Industry Awards, recognizing its century-long legacy and exceptional contribution to the wine industry.
