A big thank you to Sarah, the cleaner, for doing such an amazing job during our stay. The room was always spotless and fresh, and she was so friendly and professional. You can really tell she takes pride in her work — she made our stay even more enjoyable!

Lovely stay. Very clean rooms, slightly small but everything you need for a short stay. Comfortable bed and a excellent breakfast. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Would stay again.

The best Travelodge I ever stayed at. The room was newly decorated, the bed and bedding were comfortable, I slept so well. The bathroom was newly fitted and super clean. Staff were friendly and helpful. Also, woke up to a view of a beautiful church. 👍

Room was very clean but quite basic. Due to heavy rain, floodgates had been closed, effectively cutting off the access road. Several attempts required before finding an alternative route. This Travelodge is built on top of a car park but due to the weather the lifts and internal stairs were closed, forcing clients to use external steps and get rather wet. As this would adversely affect wheelchair users, I would have expected this information to be available on the website, or to have at least been advised by email. Staff were very friendly despite being extremely busy and under pressure. Food was good.

After driving all the way from Scotland, we were extremely tired. The first member of staff who served us appeared uninterested and it felt like she did not want to be working that evening. Despite it being clear that there were four of us, we were given a room with only two beds. I then went downstairs to report this, and the second female member of staff was also unhelpful and said someone would come to sort it out. When the staff member arrived, he brought only a duvet and bedsheet and asked where the bed was. I explained that this was not acceptable and that I was exhausted and simply wanted to shower and rest after a long journey. To be fair, the male staff member handled the situation very well and promptly arranged another room next door, which resolved the issue. However, both female members of staff were unhelpful and would benefit from further customer service training. I would also like to question why Travelodge places coat hangers directly above the bed, as this does not seem practical or sensible.
