Not the best hotel I have stayed in, but it served my purpose well, situated close to supertram stop, for my journeys to see the European figure skating championships. Room clean, reasonably comfortable, coffees etc topped up on request, or visit reception Staff very friendly and helpful. Extra charges for WiFi,breakfasts etc. Avoid the breakfast, sadly it wasnt the best

On the plus side: Room was basic but clean and had adequate cupboard space. Hairdryer, iron etc available from reception. Location excellent, 5 minutes walk from tram stop and town centre. 15 minutes walk to train station. Staff were always friendly and helpful. However, WiFi charges are extortionate, especially as connection comes and goes. There is no housekeeping, although you can hook a sign on your door asking for a top up (tea/coffee/milk/toilet rolls, plus we had an overflowing bin emptied one time) We had the breakfast once - not recommended: tasteless in the main, and lacking some of the advertised items (eg no porridge, mushrooms or fruit salad). Coffee was only lukewarm. If you don't want to wash your hair everytime you have a shower, take a shower cap as it's a fixed shower head.

We stayed for one night for an early hospital appointment at Sheffield Hallamshire eye hospital. Everything was excellent - friendly and welcoming staff. Spotless room - lovely white sheets/towels/tea/coffee/t.v. - what more could you ask for. Highly recommend at such a reasonable price too. Thank you to all.

We could not get a room at the Ibis which is closer to Ponds Forge which is slightly closer and I had stayed at before with a good staff in line with my expectations. I had driven overnight to pick up the family event and had not slept in 30 hours and when I arrived early to the hotel the receptionist was really helpful and let me.know that our room would be available slightly earlier than booked and twice previously I had done the similar journey and asked Ibis which was a distinct no nothing is possible response so was pleasantly surprised. Very friendly and accomodating reception staff. We got a family room which is bigger about 20% than Ibis and had a bath (ibis has a shower). We later had no problem connecting and android phone to the TV for streaming although my not so technical adept partner found it difficult cinect and IPhone. The bathroom at TL is bigger. It had a similar feel to a hospital bathroom with lino finish but was very clean with shave, counter space, good pressure, hot water and the water from the tap tasted as it would from our home tap. I'm a big lad and the wc is more comfortable than ibis as it's slightly bigger. Both hotels are equidistant to a pub at the corner. The impair room numbers face in this street so the pair number might be quieter. However, we were tire and with the double gazing closed, ut was a fait background noise which did not stop any of us going to sleep (sat night). That evening when my partner went to buy water and they only had cans and the reception staff offered a jug with ice to use water from the room. I'd give 10/10 for exceptional service with a smile from a team who how to take really good care of their guests. Everything in the hotel was very clean as you would expect. The double bed v comfortable and the cot single bed cosy too with no complaints from my 9yo daughter, I found it to be firm when I tried it out and it's narrow. When we ran out tea and milk, staff gave my daughter a full cup of sachets and milk pods. I would most definitely rebook here again over Ibis even with the small price difference. WELL DONE TRAVELODGE TEAM.

Me and my partner stayed here for 2 nights while we visited family as we have come from the Lake District and we could not have asked for a better experience! The receptionist was very smiley and welcomed us with nothing but a positive attitude! On the second night we had a little issue with the key card but a new receptionist was very helpful and sorted the issue within no time. We were absolutely delighted with the room, very clean! We will definitely be coming by again.
