Travelodge Sheffield Richmond

it was affordable stay, but it was too far from where I needed to go and the taxis wee expensive £5 just get in a cab so be careful, the duvet had a poo stain on it, and the USB port next to the bed wasn't working, so I had to charge my phone across the room which wasn't helpful. and I was staying on ground floor no.12, so really noisy with the door opening and closing and people were chatting loud so didn't get much sleep, and I wanted a shower cubicle but instead had the bath with shower, overall it was ok, that is what you get for that price.

The room was small, cramped even. My wife and I were doing different things in the evening and when we were given the room key we asked for another and were told "only one key per room"! We couldn't figure out how to use the electronic fob to get into the place from reception. The "desk" in the room had a covering of what felt like fine grit or sugar over it which we had to wipe away to make it usable. The bathroom door jammed on the toilet and needed to be forced past the toilet to close it. Obviously the same had to be done to get out of the bathroom! In the morning I saw the bedframe was covered in who knows what! Dirt or mould, we don't know. If we had seen it the previous evening we would have asked to be moved to another room. Car parking is an extra charge which is surpising as the link on maps says free parking! This is not mentioned on the Travelodge website before booking. You have to pay for parking either at a machine outside the hotel or via an app. Then you still need to register your vehicles details at another screen to avoid a fine! We won't use this place again.

A decent Travelodge. Spacious rooms with comfortable beds. The room was very clean and new carpet fitted. Excellent value for money compared to the more expensive alternatives.

Seen alot of bad reviews about richmond travelodge but yesterday is my first night there its so spotless first thing i do is check bed sheet 😫🙄 im so funny like that clean very clean im ocd mad quiet area no noise at all its more updated then the central travelodge what i love the most is its got a bath i love me baths its like been a home from home so 10/10

Judging by the building's style, this is one of the older Travelodges with bedrooms & no other facilities. It has however benefitted from a refurb so the interior is more welcoming. The rooms are a decent size & very clean. Beds are comfortable too. Staff, and such as there ever are any in these places were presentable & helpful.
