Travelodge Scotch Corner Skeeby

I had a pleasant enough stay at this Travelodge. The room (ground floor room 12)was spacious, clean and comfortable,though quite basic.Tea and coffee were provided in the room and it was great that you could help yourself to refills at reception. There are no food or bar facilities onsite other than a vending machine so bear that in mind if arriving late or without a car. Unfortunately during my stay there was heavy rain and the guttering outside my window overflowed which made it quite noisy.Some maintenance work was also taking place right outside the room meaning I couldn't really have the window or curtains open, and the noise started fairly early in the morning. The majority of staff were friendly and helpful,and check in was straightforward. The hotel is situated on a long busy road that's very dark and there are no nearby facilities within safe walking distance- the nearest petrol station is close by but not accessible on foot due to road layout. Overall a clean and decent budget stay,ideal if you're driving and just need a base but perhaps less convenient if you're without transport or looking for on-site dining options.

Had a little weekend here with my daughter. Room was basic but clean. Staff were always so lovely. Plenty of parking. So quiet too. Nicely located for a lot of different places. Would definitely stay here again. Thanks :)

Very basic.. no eateries within walking distance and no restaurant, Garage and services 5 min drive. Nice pub with great food in Skeeby about 7 min drive.

An older hotel but good. My welcome was friendly, the room clean and tidy. As it was super hot there was a fan and, unlike some hotels, the windows opened. A great location just outside Ripon and despite the note about limited parking there was ample. I'd stay again.

Excellent Travelodge, handy for Richmond and just a short walk to shell garage for shop etc. Reception staff very helpful especially Vaughn who loaned me an Iphone charger cable and plug which I have returned. Only down side was that the neighbouring farmer chose that week to spread manure over his field - what a stink - guess it was necessary tho- it meant I had to keep my windows closed but there was an amazing fan in the room. Thoroughly recommend Skeeby Travelodge
