Travelodge Wakefield Woolley Edge M1 Northbound hotel

IT IS BAD!!! Don’t TRUST the pictures!! They make the rooms look good whereas they’re not! They don’t show the bad things in the room… I went to stay with my son for a family reason and it was horrible. It is so confusing on where to go especially at night.. It is a dodgy hotel and wouldn’t go there again. For a start the hotel room doors have a key to open which means it’s old and outdated, there is only ONE LOCK and NO DOUBLE LOCK!!!!! Also as usual there is no lock for the toilet door. Also only free internet for 30 minutes but it’s pretty good. Also the room above us started banging, jumping and seemed like they were having a BIG big fight. Also no restaurant in the hotel so you must go to the service station which is a 30 second or less walk. And is pricey and small. Not to mention the good parts of the hotel which isn’t even the hotel it’s self! It’s the staff which are so friendly and if In front of you they will wait as long as you take and hold the door open.

Nice big clean and comfy room, took the dog. Disabled parking and level access. Ideally situated to visit family in Barnsley.

Stayed here as it's close to Meadowhall, where me & my son went shopping the next day. The room was fine, exactly what I was expecting. Service was minimal, again as expected. Location was great for us, right off the motorway next to the service station (burger king, Greggs, WHSmith etc) which was convenient for snacks. No complaints 😊

Great location on the M1. Great value rooms that were basic but very clean. Very friendlyand helpful check in staff.

Perfect stop over. Considering that it’s so near the motorway I was surprised how quiet it was in the room. Room was spacious. Well equipped. Very clean and comfortable The staff exceptionally helpful, polite and cheerful
