Welcome to Yorkshire

|If you love comedy that’s weird, wonderful, and a little bit chaotic, then you need to see Elf Lyons live. She’s an Edinburgh Comedy Award nominee and winner of multiple comedy awards, including the ISH Comedy Award 2024 and the Comedians’ Choice Award 2024. Her latest show, Horses, was a smash hit at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe and is now going on tour across the UK in 2025.
And here’s the twist: this isn’t just any comedy show. It’s performed entirely by a horse. Yes, you read that right.

What Is Horses About?
At its heart, Horses is all about play, imagination, and childhood joy—something we all could use a little more of. Elf Lyons has always pushed the boundaries of comedy, and this show is no different. Expect a mix of stand-up, clowning, mime, and even shadow puppetry, all woven together in a way that only Elf could pull off.
Oh, and Treacle the Horse (not a real horse, but you’ll have to see the show to get it) is the star of the show, with creative input from Trygve Wakenshaw and Dylan Moran.
As the poet Pablo Neruda put it:
“A child who does not play is not a child, but the man who does not play has lost forever the child who lived in him.”
If that resonates with you, then Horses is a must-see.
Who Is Elf Lyons?
