Looking for family-friendly fun in 2025? Well, the award-winning Yorkshire Wildlife Park near Doncaster is gearing up for an epic year with an exciting lineup of events, live music, and seasonal celebrations. Whether you’re an animal lover, a concert-goer, or just want a great day out, there’s something for everyone.

From Easter egg trails to Halloween frights, world-class singers, and even an ABBA tribute, 2025 at Yorkshire Wildlife Park promises to be unforgettable.

Spring highlights: Easter egg hunts, artisan markets, and dog shows

The fun kicks off in April, with events designed to put a spring in your step. The annual Let’s Go Easter YWP takes place from Friday 11th to Sunday 13th April. Think Easter Egg Trails, animal encounters, and pantomimes that’ll have the whole family smiling.

Got a furry friend? Then don’t miss the Raise the Woof Dog Show on Saturday 5th April at The Hive. It’s a paw-some event that celebrates our four-legged companions. And if you love a good browse, the Artisan Markets on 19th and 20th April will showcase local crafts, treats, and treasures.

Brides-to-be, you’re in luck too! On Saturday 26th April, the Wedding Fayre at the Hex Connect centre in The Hive will offer all the inspiration you need for your big day.

Summer nights: Concerts and BBQs with the stars

When summer rolls around, Yorkshire Wildlife Park turns up the heat! Fans of live music can enjoy two Night Out at the Zoo events on Saturday 21st June and Saturday 16th August. Picture this: live music, a sizzling BBQ, and entertainment on the lush lawns of the Tsavo & Wildlife Amphitheatre. Sounds dreamy, right?

And the concerts don’t stop there. The Wild Live Concerts are back with two huge names:

  • Björn Again, the ultimate ABBA tribute band, takes the stage on Sunday 24th August.
  • Legendary tenor Russell Watson will open his 25th Anniversary Tour on Sunday 31st August, treating fans to a stunning performance. Concert tickets even include entry to the park, so you can make a day of it.

John Minion, the park’s CEO, summed it up perfectly: “If you enjoy classical music, or perhaps you are an ABBA fan, you won’t be disappointed. We will be announcing more of the line-up in the coming months.”

Autumn adventures: Halloween fun for all ages

Autumn at Yorkshire Wildlife Park is all about spooky vibes and fun. From Thursday 30th October to Saturday 1st November, the Let’s Go Halloween event promises spooky stories, fairground rides, and delicious food stalls. It’s perfect for families wanting to celebrate the season without anything too scary for the little ones.

Winter magic: Illuminations and festive cheer

Winter transforms the park into a sparkling wonderland. The Winter Illuminations return on selected dates from Saturday 15th November through to 4th January 2026. This 3km trail of lights and lanterns is a feast for the eyes and makes for the perfect festive outing. With fairground rides and Instagram-worthy selfie spots, it’s a must-see.

More fun at The Hive

The Hive, Yorkshire Wildlife Park’s shopping, dining, and entertainment village, is also hosting its own events throughout the year:

  • Typically Tina, a Tina Turner tribute, takes the stage on Saturday 7th February.
  • Tony Christie, famous for his hit "Amarillo," will perform on Saturday 8th March.

There’s always something happening at The Hive, whether you’re after live music, delicious food, or a relaxed day out.

A conservation-focused experience

Beyond the events, Yorkshire Wildlife Park is all about its animals. Visitors can see over 70 rare and endangered species, including Amur Tigers, Giraffes, Black Rhinos, and even Polar Bears. The park’s commitment to conservation makes it a special place to connect with nature.
