I am staying here tonight and I'm happy. I walked here with a backpack and I'm on a non electric pitch. It was £12.00 for the night. It's a nice flat field with short grass. Surrounded by a 5ft Drystone walk. Amazing views in all directions (including Holmefirth) as it's on top of a hill. The toilets and showers are clean and stocked with paper and hand soap. It's peaceful and quiet with just an occasional distant bleat from a sheep. Kelly was helpful and friendly via text. She gave me all the information I needed and I paid in advance by bank transfer but cash at the site was also an option. I'm pretty sure I will be back. Oh and I'm getting 5g with a download speed of 24Mbps

This is a fairly basic site however it has stunning views and is peaceful and quiet. It can be tricky to find so I would advise to review your route near the site especially if you have a touring caravan. It is very close to Holmfirth with some nice pubs and a great bakery on Bridge Street. On the site it would be good if some information about the local area could be made available. A mop could be left in the shower area for people to clean after use. The mats used in the shower need to be removed and replaced with an anti slip mat that can be easily cleaned. The chemical waste needs to be cleaned daily. We had a lovely stay and there are just some small details that would make a big differance.

Lovely little campsite with amazing views over holmfirth and the surrounding area. Within easy walking distance of the nearby villages of holmfirth and holmbridge. Very clean facilities toilets showers elsan disposal veg prep area. Great pictorial history on the wall telling you where in the area last of the summer wine was filmed and the history of the farm. Some lovely pieces of vintage farm equipment in the fields with the animals. The only slight issue we had was no hand dryer or hand towels in the toilets so unable to dry hands after washing them. Electric hook-up to all pitches.

Beautiful views from a simple but clean and welcoming campsite. I didn’t walk down into Holmfirth from the site due to the British Summer ☔️ but I imagine it’s a pretty steep hike back up. Great to see the farm animals close by.

Spent the night here to see a concert in Holmfirth, lovely little site with spaces for non electric as well as electric hooks up. Only one loo and shower, but I guess the majority of people have them in vans and RVs. Saying that, they are clean. Kelly is very friendly and helpful. It's probably about 20- 30 mins walk down the track by the site to the village of Holmfirth.....got a taxi back after the concert, about £7, so was with it as I didn't fancy trekking back up later on. Cracking views too.
