Tiny carpark. No cameras. This is the Travelodge carpark. Beware.! If your staying in the hotel and you have payed for say overnight parking and you leave to get food in your car. You have to pay again when you return for all of it again.! First come first served.

Worst car park/service I’ve ever seen. I stayed at this travelogde and decided to use their facilities to park my car overnight. I paid for 24 hours and thought nothing else of it. Later on in the evening I popped out and came back and parked up thinking nothing else of it. Almost a month later, I receive a letter in the post from the private company (Smart Parking) issuing me with a fine for £100. I’m perplexed! I got a ticket for 24 hours and didn’t go past that time so what’s with the fine? Apparently, the ticket ends once you leave the car park and you’ve got to buy another if you return. I returned to the car park and this information was not clear on the signs in the car park nor did the staff inform me of this. I contacted Travelodge’s customer service who said they would ask the contractor to cancel the fine. 5 weeks later, I follow up with them after not receiving a reply to which they say that they can’t cancel it. By this point I’m now over the 28 days that I had to pay the fine or challenge it so it’s been passed onto a debt collection agency who are now chasing me for £170. Smart Parking took over 2 weeks to reply to my email (no phone number to call) too which was disgusting. Awful service all around. I’ll certainly NEVER be staying in a travelodge ever again!!

August 2020: I stayed at the Travelodge Hull Central a few times, I parked at their car park, it is run by Smart Parking. I always paid £3.50 for 24 hours parking whenever I stay there, but they give you a parking fine even if you pop out with your car very quickly or get food. I got the parking fine a few weeks later, I made a challenge as I still had my tickets (it had 10 hours left at the time they fined me) but they don’t care, they still want me to pay the parking fine (so you will still get a fine when the ticket is still valid !!!!). Sept 2020: I got another parking fine from this place, same old story as above!!! I am too scare to stay at this Hotel and car park again, this is too upsetting, I am a single mum and they want every pennies from me! EVERYONE, PLEASE BEWARE OF THIS !!! Guest: Y. Mok
