I wanted to express my extreme dissatisfaction with a recent incident at your store. On August 5th, 2024, at approximately 12:00 PM, my wife and I visited Deichmann store in Middlesbrough with the intention of purchasing a specific brand and color of trainers. Unfortunately, we were unable to find the desired item. As we were leaving, the security alarm activated, and we returned to the checkout counter to resolve the issue. We were completely cooperative and willing to assist with any investigation. However, without any provocation or reasonable suspicion, a male staff member (who did not identify himself) abruptly snatched my wife’s handbag from her hands and proceeded to search through its contents without her consent. When I questioned this invasive and unacceptable behavior, the staff member claimed that he had the right to search customers' bags. This incident was both shocking and distressing. We believe that such behavior is entirely inappropriate and constitutes a serious breach of privacy. We request that management investigate this matter urgently by reviewing the surveillance footage from the relevant time period and taking appropriate disciplinary action against the staff member involved.

Shoe stock is the same as it was before lock down and there were no styles in that I liked or are acceptable to wear in public. I have had to look else where for dress shoes and trainers. Kids and ladies section looked great and fully stocked well worth a look. Alas size 12, I have limited choice.

Plenty of choice of footwear & other items, Fabulous staff who were extremely helpful. I paid extra for child's shoes to be weatherproof, all fast and no waiting around. Pleasant experience

Shopped at Middlesbrough. Assistant Sara is a STAR!, saw her be so helpful to elderly customer it was a pleasure tò witness. Polite, kind, considerate, helpful, aware of needs, and informative. Boots i purchased are reasonably priced. Not worn yet.
