Really clean and well equipped. Also good security doors, parking and staff availability. I had a PT session with Aidan Smith. He was so welcoming, patient and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend this gym xx

I ended up leaving The Gym Group because my overall experience was very disappointing. One of the main issues was the Yanga Sports Water machine, which had visible mould inside. This was completely unacceptable for a gym, and it was only dealt with after I sent a second email. While it was eventually resolved, it really shouldn’t have happened in the first place — basic hygiene and equipment checks should be standard in a place focused on health and fitness. Beyond that, the gym itself was uncomfortable to use. It was often way too hot in the summer, and I could never feel the air conditioning working properly, which made workouts exhausting. On top of this, the gym was overcrowded, which added to the discomfort. I also felt the environment wasn’t very welcoming or inclusive. Hardly any women used the gym, it was mainly men, and that made me feel uncomfortable and out of place. I wanted a space where everyone could feel comfortable, but this just didn’t feel like it. Overall, while the gym may work for some people, I wouldn’t recommend it. If hygiene, temperature control, and inclusivity are important to you, I’d suggest looking elsewhere. I hope management takes these issues seriously so future members have a better experience.

The gym is overcrowded at peak times, with 100+ people in a small space. The gym is often neglected, and the men's locker room stinks. The only advantage is that it's close to home. There's a 10-centimeter layer of dust on the air conditioning unit and the cardio area pipes upstairs. Nothing new has been added in the two years I've been going there. The gym is looking worse and worse. The trainers at this gym have no clue about training. I often see them demonstrating incorrect exercise routines, and they don't even look like the people who train. It's a poorly equipped, profit-generating gym. I don't recommend it at all.

Rubbish gym, ladies changing room always stink and showers grubby, they are always asking for feedback but never act on it. Machines are poor quality, never enough of the stuff people actually want and use. The staff are lovely but the group as a whole don’t care about their members at all. Cancelled my membership and going elsewhere because you can never get on any machines and it’s vastly under managed. Would not recommend.

Aweful corporate gym, that solicites good reviews from members who don't know any better. Half the equipment is useless, workouts take twice as long waiting for machines, staff are underpaid and forced to arbiterially enforce rules that are only followed by the people there wanting to quietly workout. I went here for over three years and in that time have had nothing but repeated trouble. Things stolen from lockers, damage to cars and bikes stolen and not caught in the cctv. I had an accident in the gym and was called trying to get me to admit liability so I would sue them. I've injured myself on faulty equipment and no action was taken. No one listens to feed back and no one seems to understand how people serious about training want to train. Heating left on in the summer, air con dripping on you in the winter. Then let's talk about accessibility. You'll love the step up into the narrow corridor for the changing room, the accessible toilet that is upstairs l, the loud obnoxious music (doubled up when there's a soun class on) the aweful lighting and that if you can actually get in . Heaven forbid you want to go at night when there's on one to operate the doors for you. Bit hey, you don't need to address that if you just exclude all disabled people from the building. It is pretty well stocked in drug dealers, you can get anything both fitness or recreational without having to leave the premises as there's generally someone on site in that capacity 24/7. Of course you can put in a complaint, but be prepared to wait a week, for a patronising message and a link to the website or a response written by chatgpt. The Gym Group. We're here to take your money at all costs, even your health and wellbeing. A brilliant gym if you want to run on a treadmill looking at a wall while kids mess about on the equipment and nick your stuff. It will forever be a mystery to me why I put up with it forcsi long. It is cheap though.
