The Gym Group York Foss Island

I didn’t have my pin, the attendant didn’t seem to offer any alternative to help me to get access to it, other than troll through your email. He seemed to be more interested in telling me they were offering free sessions and getting another client to fill in some tally about die hard. I explained to him that I couldn’t access my pin after trolling through my email and could I just pay to use the gym for one day. He said that I wasn’t going to be able to do that. I then asked him if there were other gyms in the area (I’m visiting York) he said Yes, but wasn’t prepared to tell me where one was. Frustrating.

Gym is great at 4am when I use it but the showers and locker room could do with some attention for cleanliness and showers to be a little hotter and powerful.

The worst gym in York. A complete lack of responsibility, or even a willingness to take responsibility, for what happens to the parking lot they provide for their customers. It's an abstraction that defies description. You go to the gym and get a parking ticket that can't be explained, and then you hear from the manager several times that it's not their problem and that nothing can be done about it.... I'm speechless. I received five unjustified tickets while I was at the gym, which I pay for. Thank you to the gym group for taking care of its customers.

What I like about the gym is its location, however the gym lack when it comes equipments so much space but they are not using it wisely. The gym definitely needs some incline and decline benches as well as some other machines for back. These are essentials and available in most gym but not the gym group. Also another thing that I find very disturbing is (hygiene) ​I find the hygiene and air quality to be a major disturbance. While member behavior plays a role, the gym is responsible for providing a clean and pleasant environment. The odor in the bathrooms and common areas is consistently unpleasant. I strongly suggest implementing better cleaning schedules and, at a minimum, installing air fresheners or improving the ventilation system throughout the facility. This is a crucial area that needs to be taken care of immediately.

Bad gym. Smells like pee and BO as soon as you walk in, terrible range of machines and constantly busy. Impossible to reach a real person for queries, instead sent an automated email sending you back to the help site. Do not waste your money here, it's cheap for a reason.
