Poor quality hot chocolate, not recommended for long journey, they won’t able to compete it without tummy ache and GI problems. Its not for my but we both have it, that drink spoil our nice journey mood.

Terrible service.6 bimbos standing around having a good old chat whilst customers were waiting. Advice to management: train your staff on what proactive customer service is.

Me and Mum popped in for a coffee during our journey home from seeing the family in Newcastle. Would definitely recommend popping by if need be, the staff were really friendly and the place seemed clean. Our coffees were lovely and just what we needed to give us a break from the long drive home.

Disgusting full of flies, told staff who said yeah we know, the flies were on the food and also on the benches staff use to prepare food, no ice at 9:30 am and no coconut milk so instead replaced with almond without saying, also the first drinks given were wrong size. Contacted management who blamed cleanliness on moto cleaning staff and ignored flies. Offered a £5 gift card

On a recent journey up north on the A1(M), I decided to quickly grab a hot cup of the sweetest road fluid at the Costa Coffee Drive Thru, Wetherby Services. I first visited here about six months ago, and found it excellent, but the tale I regale was my most recent experience. The vehicle in front of the queue was despatched quickly, and I ordered a large foaming Latte with sugar for me, and a cup of water to fill our little dog's bowl so she could get refreshed too. The staff were efficient, courteous, friendly, and even added the sugar for me - which is a nice touch, as when you're disabled and need to deal with a host of other problems, having the Barista add the sugar for you *first*, and *then* perform all the fizz and steam related jiggery-pokery... well... it saves a great deal of kerfuffle. Costa Coffee is not the cheapest coffee outlet; this is well known and no secret. But it *is* very fresh, strong, has a superb aroma and flavour, and when you couple this with the ease of a drive thru situation, it's certainly a winner for me. That fine brew lasted almost to my journey's end, when coupled with judicious sip timing, and remained hot to the end. So in summary, should you find yourself in need of caffeine infused liquid excitement on the A1(M) around Wetherby, I heartily recommend a stop at Costa. And maybe get a muffin if you're on a long haul...
