We are a small garage in Barnsley and on Monday our MOT testing computer malfunctioned and wouldn’t stay switched on, meaning we couldn’t complete any MOT tests (we do 6-8 a day) and had to cancel & reschedule our customers; which is very unlike us to be letting folk down 😩 Snap-on engineer attended Tuesday morning stating he couldn’t fix the computer due to the computer now being obsolete and that we’d have to upgrade our whole computer system and software being quoted £2k 😱 We found Clarkson Computers Sales & Repairs via the Barnsley Community FB Group and contacted Nathan via WhatsApp, who instantly replied reassuring us that he was indeed the man for the job and could repair our 10yr old computer. Dropped the computer off in Castleford on Tuesday afternoon, Nathan said we needed a new motherboard and the part would arrive within 3 days. Nathan kept us well informed every step of the way, sending screenshots of courier tracking for the delivery of the part, sent us data/testing results to show the computer was now up and running in full working order and allowed us to collect it on Sunday. Very reasonably priced (£100), quick turnaround and as promised we were up and running completing MOT tests first thing on Monday morning. Nice guy, good comms to be fair. But took 3 weeks only to tell me laptop charging port couldn't be repaired. Then offered to sell me me a replacement for £185. Took elsewhere and repaired in 3 days. Maybe genuinely didn't know how to do it, but couldn't recommend given this experience. Update: owner replied to review saying didn't think he dealt with me, so I've added transaction photo showing payment charged to look at.

Just wanted to say a quick thank you to Clarkson‘s computers for sorting out my business sublimation printer. I dropped it off on Saturday and was told it would be a few days. I was contacted on Sunday with the printer up and running ready to collect on Monday. Excellent service and I wouldn’t hesitate to use again!
