Visited with my grandson and daughter today. ( feb) it was very muddy and wet as its been raining the last few days. Parking are for quiet a few cars. A few different areas to play . Big kids area with basket ball hoops and a small zip line. Adult exercise area with fixed gym equipment. 3 Paddling pool areas for summer months. Toddlers areas have a variety of things. Climbing frames, swings, slides, bouncers, picnic tablets are nice metal ones so are nice and clean , bins and benches dotted around. Only thing missing where toilets. Theres a building there but nothing open. Looks more like changing area block or something that may open in summer. Worth a visit but in nicer weather. X
Ok, there is a funny fountain there, but only a little water flows and then you have to wait for a good 15 minutes. There was a much better center near Victoria and what happened? It doesn't work now, it didn't work a year ago either, Pickering park had a large water pool, the best in the city, and what happened? it doesn't work now, it didn't work last year either. Here again, public (and mine) money was spent on something pointless. There are no benches to sit there, the gate is already broken and opens by itself. I was there for the first and last time 👎 Additionally, I would like to add that the water is not chlorinated and therefore has a lot of bacteria, my child got a very big rash on his back and face from this water, I do not recommend it!
Visited on 8th and 15th October, 2023. It is a very big open field, it's not well maintained, facilities are aging, parking area has muddy holes in the centre. If it's not the zip line and the big open field, it's not worth more than 3 stars. Just a kind reminder of dog owners, please be considerate and pick up after your dog.
I went for hull fest but the park is a really nice place to have a walk. The field turned into a swamp at the festival though
Only 4 stars tried out the splash area. Seating along the wall? Hopefully, they will add more seating once finished at the whole site. Water appeared to be on a timer? Signs please? Exciting times, and you need a park warden in holidays and weekends. Signs need to be placed in regard to NO dogs in the splash area. Let's look after this little gem. Ideal for those who do not have access to a car. A little fun on your the door step.
