Only had one week here so far but I think it's spot on! Has everything that anyone could need and more. Polite helpful staff, open 24/7, non-contract, clean and tidy and has a great shop with everything. Only downfall would be onsite parking BUT there's plenty of parking options surrounding the place within a few minutes walk (Asda 2 hour stay, home bargains 2 hour stay, etc) so it's not really a problem anyway. Overall: Excellent and I would recommend this place to anyone. 👍🏻👌🏻
Great gym great atmosphere. Supplement store is unreal, so much choice and great prices. Proper old school gym with equipment that is well maintained and fully operational.
I've been training at metro for years now. Always a friendly atmosphere. 24/7 access so can train at odd times or to fit in with changing schedules. Always clean and tidy, and everyone is always happy to help out, whether that be spotting on a set or just putting equipment and weights back, unlike in other gyms I've trained at. Prices in the shop are second to non, and there are always deals and new bits of kit coming in to try out.
Equipment? Bang on the money. The manager/owner was super accommodating. Was a pleasure to train there.. I live out of town but, this will be my preferred gym of choice when I'm back in Hull..
If I could leave 0 stars I would. I had an incredibly disappointing experience with the very gym owner. Despite my efforts to calmly discuss and understand the situation, he not only interrupted me as soon as I started talking but also responded rudely, expressing disinterest and quoting “it’s only £25 mate, I won’t be arguing about this little amount of money” with a annoyed tone and also ended the call on me when I still talking. This kind of response from a gym owner is disrespectful and disappointing. Don’t get me wrong it’s a okay gym but this is not the way to speak to customers. Such behaviour raises concerns about the overall customer service that’s not the way to speak to a customer at all!
