So nice to see this fountain up and running in 2025. The fountain on this roundabout was commissioned by the Victoria Fountain charity and was turned on for the first time on 8th July 2023 It was made in Wigan by Lost Art Ltd and replaced the original fountain on this site which disappeared in the 1920s The total cost of the fountain was £150,000 practically all of which was donated by residents of the Avenues, making it a true community asset

It was turned on in a rainy ceremony a few weeks ago. Since then it has been turned on every day until 8pm.

A great fountain, hopefully they can renovate the other fountains to be operational.
