Fun and amazing park, lots of space to run around and do activities such as football. Includes nice skate park and playground for the young children and adults. Lake does have a spectacular view. It has easy to walk trails around the lake and to the lake.
Went for a little fish on the pond near the river/old rowing club , was a bit upset when I got told that people not from Englang had been taking the fish as went to get carp . When I first got there , there was three none English people fishing with line on Sticks and had hand lines chucked out , I went over and asked them if they had caught out , thankfully they hadn't but I asked them if they fish for sport which they replied yes so I showed them some of my pics of recent carp I'd had then one of them showed me a few pics of some carp he had caught which I was very shocked at , as I asked them do you eat them and they replied no ! We fish for sport which I found very hard to belive as the pics of the loverly fully scaled mirror carp he showed to me , he was standing in his living room holding it ! , I asked were he caught it and he replied out side , I then said well do not be taking any fish out of this water it's illegal so they straight away started to pack there gear up . After the brieth conversion with them I went to where I'd decided to fish n ended up catching a few small roach and one small rudd biggest around 2-3oz , its a real same people are doing this just for some food as there are many places you can get help from .
A great place for the whole family, lovely play park for little ones and skate park for older kids. River Hull runs along the back and is a great walk. Usually a park ranger on site too. Only down side there are currently no public toilets.
This is a lovely place dog walk & bike ride I use it several times a week all different times people are so friendly the local community is outstanding often see people with bags picking up rubbish even though they've not left it... youngsters included very respectful/pleasant my perants brought me through out the summer & I did also with my son & friends I'm 50+ now ... & hope to use it for ever my dog is 15 & from 12 weeks old she's exercised here she loves it even swam in the pond in her younger days Xx
