|This Saturday, 14th September, Watershed Mill in Settle will be transformed into a hub of family entertainment as it hosts the Flowerpot Family Funday. With all the flowerpot exhibits gathered indoors from across the town, visitors will have the chance to view them one last time. The event will also feature community stalls and sideshows, making for a vibrant close to the season.
From 10am to 4pm, the free event will offer plenty of games and fun activities for all ages. Whether you’re looking for the thrill of classic games like plate smashing or the quirky charm of Splat the Rat, there’s something for everyone. For those seeking gentler entertainment, tombola stands will be ready to delight.

A family event come rain or shine
According to Richard Hanscombe from the Flowerpot Festival team, the decision to hold the event indoors at the Mill ensures that unpredictable weather won’t stand in the way of family fun.
"The Mill is a great spacious venue for bringing this year’s Festival to a close indoors, and it means the weather forecast doesn’t need to be a deterrent,"
he says. As the home of The Potting Shed, the Festival’s HQ, the Watershed Mill also gives visitors a glimpse into where many of the festival’s exhibits are crafted and where children’s workshops take place.
Supporting local charities
Parking at the Watershed Mill is free for the event, and beyond just celebrating the end of the Flowerpot Festival, the Funday aims to help local charities through fundraising efforts, giving the day a community-focused mission.
With its combination of creative displays, engaging activities, and charitable support, the Flowerpot Family Funday promises to be an event that brings people together while offering a memorable final viewing of the year’s flowerpot creations.
