I want to extend a huge thank you to Natalie Fallows at Barclays Bank York for her incredible help. We were searching for my mum’s safety deposit box that had originally been opened over 40 years ago, and the branch where it was held had long since closed. Natalie went above and beyond—patient, determined, and genuinely caring. She managed to trace the box and reunite us with a very precious memory inside, including my mum’s wedding ring. Her kindness and dedication turned what felt like an impossible task into a moment our family will never forget. Thank you, Natalie—you truly made a difference.
Absolutely the worst bank in UK. And York branch represents it. The worst branch of any bank I've ever dealt with. Especially front staff (some of them). I left many years ago , my wife is leaving them and friend of mine too. You can't do anything. It's always no and some idiotic rules behind it. Then when you think it's sorted...you finding out that it's not... Leaving them is highly recommended.
Unfortunately I don't know name of the person who assist me today but it was lovely young gentleman who help me with my cheque and refund transaction. Lovely, polite and really helpful just in a few minutes. This is something I call good customer service!
I lost £300 at this bank. Went in with a cheque for tax return and the man showed me to the machine. I should’ve received the £300 but instead it was taken out. I got in touch with the support who couldn’t help me because I didn’t have a photo of the cheque. Well of course not because it’s in your machine. Atrocious
We went in on a Saturday morning regarding a account set up. The first lady wasn't at all interested in helping us at all. The second wasnt much better. Talk about 'computer says NO' No appointments at all available on a Saturday ever ? How ridiculous. What never ever ever ? How about Saturday 2035 ? Nope nothing available. Get a grip the lot of you. Useless. No wonder all the banks are closing down.
