It has been over a decade since I last stayed at a Travelodge, I'll continue to avoid as much as possible! Pros: - Fair Room Rate - Helpful Staff - Very reasonable parking charges on & off street - Swift contactless checkout - Useful location, nearby establishments walking distance. Cons: - Road noise disturbs sleep - Low quality fixtures and fittings - It's an older Travelodge, not modern. - Room Key lost connection requiring frequent refresh at the reception - Only 30 minutes of free WiFi offered - Not all the room lights worked - Shower temperature not accurate - No lock on the bathroom door - Mini sized wall mounted TV
Stayed here overnight at the last minute and got a good deal for a top floor room with little extras. All staff that we met were very friendly, reception and cleaning staff. It's in a good location for the city centre.
Reluctant to give one star.only way can review. Was told by staff Was ok to park in disabled onsite parking but no instruction on parking charge . Was hit with £60 FINE .. miss leading wont use hotel again very angry. Was heavily raining on entry had two old dogs with me. Staff need to make customers aware . Having looked at reviews seems a common occurrence
Stayed here for a single mid-weeknight as part of a spontaneous trip. Booked online and was offered an upgrade to a premium room for (I think) £10 extra. On arrival the staff were friendly helpful and chatty without being onerous. Keycard obtained I was left to it - just as I like. The hotel is on a busy junction and I was allocated a front of the building room, with the window open the traffic noise, even on the 4th floor was noticeable especially as the road seems to be a main blue light run to the local hospital for ambulances. With the window shut the noise was all but abated, but the sirens were still very noticeable. The room was to the usual Travelodge standard, basic and clean. Comfortable bed and clean towels. I would have perhaps preferred more desk space and some space to stack clothes. I really didn't see the value in the premium room, basically it was a Nespresso type coffee machine in the room. I wouldn't spend the extra on that again.
Rooms are in need of TLC on recent stay the room wasn’t very clean the bathroom in particular, shower curtain smelt awful needs replacing! Comfortable sleep fairly quiet. Location is the centre of hull so parking isn’t the best if car park is full also TVs could do with being updated very old and small.
