Askham Bar Park & Ride

Fantastic and efficient option to get into city of York. The buses are very clean, and run every 12 minutes. Toilets available on site. Ample of parking, with electric charging bays and disabled. £3.90 for an adult return ticket. Just park up for free, and hop onto the bus. We will be using again when we visit York.

1st time we used York park and ride. Excellent experience, toilet facilities not brilliant but useful. Bus drops off at various locations, final stop Tower Street, near the Shambles and Christmas market. Used our local bus pass (Lincolnshire) and concession fee £1.40 single. Will definitely be using this facility again.

A really good service for getting in and out of York without having to contend with city driving. More historical cities could really benefit from this kind of service to increase tourism.

This is such a great service into/out of York. Nice car park, toilets, buses very often. They even have EV charging spots, but we weren't sure if it was fair to use them as we expected to be away for about 5-6 hours.

Fabulous park and ride! Is it new? Plenty of spaces in here, and great disabled parking spaces as well. Added bonus is there are toilets in here, and there’s someone sat inside the ticket office! You don’t often seen that. There are ticket machines here as well if you’re on the go. If you’re in possession of a concession pass the ticket is cheaper. Just be aware though, the cost of a return ticket is £3.80 per person and not per car, as I assumed it would be, but it’s a minor criticism, and doesn’t mar the excellent service. I shall be using this park and ride again definitely.
